This Dian Hong is produced in an organically managed high-mountain garden in Nanping, Pu'er, at approximately 1,800 metres.
The Fengqing Large Leaf cultivar provides substantial leaf material and prominent buds. After withering and rolling, full enzymatic oxidation develops the characteristic red-orange liquor and converts fresh vegetal aromatics toward fruit, malt and honey.
The dry leaves combine dark oxidized material with characteristic golden tips.
