What happens when we remove two of the things we most often reach for in social situations — a drink and our phones?

For the first Berlin edition of Bright Nights Social, we’re coming together at Tea & Vinyl for an evening dedicated to genuine, substance-free connection.

No alcohol. No phones. No pressure to perform.

Instead: Chinese tea, records playing, guided conversations and a room full of people open to meeting someone new.

We know it can feel awkward to arrive somewhere alone and start talking to strangers without the usual social shortcuts. That’s part of the experiment. For a few hours, we’ll put our phones away, slow things down and create a little more space for curiosity, conversation and being present with the people around us.

The evening begins around the tea table with introductions and facilitated conversation designed to make meeting each other feel natural. Afterwards, things open up into more tea, vinyl and free-flow mingling.

Music throughout the evening will be selected on vinyl by Repeatbeat, an experienced DJ and record collector with a deep love for music, creating a warm soundtrack for the room rather than a traditional club setting.

ABOUT BRIGHT NIGHTS SOCIAL

Founded in New York City in 2022, Bright Nights Social is a platform exploring nightlife and community beyond drinking culture.

After creating sober social experiences in NYC, Bright Nights Social is now landing in Berlin for the first time, together with Tea & Vinyl.
