VOICES OF GEORGIA - LISTENING SESSION

Georgian Choirs — Vinyl & Tea Vinyl listening session with DJ End80s, followed by a Georgian tea ceremony 📍 Tea & Vinyl, Berlin — 30 September, 18:00–21:00

An evening dedicated to Georgian polyphonic singing — a multi-voice vocal tradition recognized by UNESCO as Intangible Cultural Heritage, built on independent vocal lines and characteristic dissonances.

DJ End80s will play original vinyl pressings from his personal collection, including recordings by Orovela Ensemble led by conductor Temur Kevkhishvili — a key figure in propagating Georgian folk singing and who in 2013 in Georgia was recognized as the "Voice of the Century." The session opens with about an hour of listening, introduced with background on the records and DJ End80s's own experience discovering this music. Informal listening and conversation follow.

Alongside the session, the Tea & Vinyl team will host a Georgian tea ceremony.
