HARUOMI HOSONO - Yours Sincerely

On September 18, we’re inviting you to a special listening session dedicated to Haruomi Hosono and his new album, Yours Sincerely.

The album arrives on September 11, just one week before our gathering, giving us the opportunity to experience this new chapter in Hosono’s work together - slowly, attentively and from beginning to end.

The evening will be hosted by Fabian Peltsch, journalist and editor, whose interview and story with Haruomi Hosono will be published around the album’s release in Rolling Stone Magazine.

Fabian will introduce the record and share personal insights from his conversation with Hosono, offering context around the ideas, stories and creative process behind the music.

For decades, Haruomi Hosono has been one of the most influential figures in Japanese music. From his work with Happy End and Yellow Magic Orchestra to his solo explorations of electronic music, ambient, exotica and experimental sound, his influence stretches far beyond Japan and across generations of musicians.

This session is a chance not only to hear a newly released album on our sound system, but to enter more deeply into Hosono’s world through the perspective of someone who recently spoke with him directly.

We’ll begin the evening with tea and an introduction from Fabian, followed by a full, uninterrupted listening of Yours Sincerely. Afterwards, we’ll open the space for conversation, reflections and more music.

As always, a curated selection of Chinese teas will accompany the evening, creating a space to slow down, disconnect from everyday distractions and give the music our full attention.
